Try and split them up and then get them back together just after Xmas so you don't have to buy the guy a present either.

Sure can.

You sure? Do you record it once it starts or can you programme it in advance? I reckon I`ll record this and watch Froch.

It works if you book it via the red button but not if you book it over the phone.

:box: why not have a quiet chat with her along the lines of "you're expecting me to pay for the wedding the least you can do is let me watch the fight". Alternately, one of those telephone wind up lines would do a decent job...

Tell your daughter you feel obliged to pay for the meal, but that your a bit strapped for cash (having to pay for the wedding and all) so everyone needs to keep it to one course!

That explains it. I live in Norway and have to book by phone. Bit of dilemma, want to watch both but don`t fancy having to record the ITV show in case someone gives me the result. Go on Frochy

Introduce her to Spud. She'll fall madly in love with him and ditch the fiancé. All three of you sit down to watch the boxing by a roaring fire whilst holding hands. It starts snowing. Then an Irish child knocks your door and starts singing "Toura Loura". Everyone weeps.

 That's funny..............in a very disturbing way.

I can imagine Spud in one of those sweaters Val Doonican used to make, though with a wider neck to fit that head of his through. :TU:

I have the same problem. Well, similar. My Uncle has decided to emigrate- his leaving 'party' is on Saturday evening. I'm going to turn up, have a few drinks, (whilst ITV4 is recording) and get back in time for Froch-Pascal. Sorted...apart from the De La Hoya fight. http://forum.boxrec.com/posting.php?mod ... &p=1519934#

About quarter to 11 I think. No starters, puddings or coffees and you might make it back in time.

I'm at an uncles 60th birthday all night, I'm hoping there's gonna be a telly there somewhere, but if not I've always got the lifesaving Sky+ to fall back on (I love you Sky+ x x x)
