Re: alvarez fails medical, could it be herbie now?
Lol, how are they going to get a replacement ??
Re: alvarez fails medical, could it be herbie now?
LMFAO! This card has been so fu*ked up. Warren should do the right thing. Cancel Enzo's fight completely and put the PPV on Sky Sports 1 for FREE!.

Too late to replace, I think, surely?
What is the rule on this? Do fighters need to weight in 24 hours in advance? Which, technically, could still be done I suppose?

Cheers for that lads, it's a shambles.
Hide won't go for this, too short notice already when it was a couple of days ago.
Absolute disgrace. I'm not paying for the boxing now, fornicate it.
I'll just watch Froch for free....

Ha ha love it :)
Re: alvarez fails medical, could it be herbie now?
No world title fight means refunds will have to be given
Re: alvarez fails medical, could it be herbie now?
Could they blag that the "international" bout on the bill was technically a world "championship?" Even if it is not the highest one.Coco wrote:No world title fight means refunds will have to be given
I'm glad I'm not going, anyway, it would be embarassing to be in a half filled Excel.

You can be sure they'll find a way around that....Coco wrote:No world title fight means refunds will have to be given

I love it that he failed due to high blood pressure, a problem mostly associated with fat people...

Total farce, and a shambles.
Re: alvarez fails medical, could it be herbie now?
I'm in awe of this. I don't think it could go further wrong if they tried.

Is Paul Bonson available? Surely he's worthy of a no12 place in the WBO ratings?
Re: alvarez fails medical, could it be herbie now?
Am I missing something here? Why not do a medical in Puerto Rico, before he flies over? Seems odd that they take such a gamble.

Nah there is a Herbie interview on the sky website where he says he will take the fight if given adequate notice. Which obviously isnt the case here.

I'm enjoying the schadenfraude of this situation. FW must be on the phone having a heart attack right now.
Who's up for fighting Enzo tomorrow night?
The Excel show has become such a fiasco that I'm almost starting to feel sorry for old Frankie
Why don't we do a check to see who's available among the posters to step in with Enzo - Billy B, given your recent sparring with Boxingchat you could be a prime candidate?
The phrase p*ss-up in a brewery has never been more apt...

Is it just me or does Alvarez look as though he's about to go surfing in that pic with Hawaiian shorts on and a Surf board tucked under his arm
