I'm so looking forward to this fight, it is not often you have two undefeated fighters at the top of their game fighting each other.
They both look in fantastic shape and very confident. And both have that hunger having never won the title before

When I see a boxer doing this I just think 'he must be getting paid chump change' for the fight.

Pascal looks very confident. I can't wait to watch this. Come on the cobra, lets set up some more big fights.

(for the first time with Froch though I sense some doubts and some of Gomez' comments above don't bode well)
I bet Froch gets paid good money for them. Golden Palace are renowned for throwing their money into advertising.

Pascal doesn't win close fights on points, i think that Froch needs to stop him to win.

Pascal wins fights by a big margin, so i think he could get the close rounds against Froch.

I haven't seen anything of Pascal and have only seen Froch against limited opposition.

This appears to be the matchup of the weekend. I'm looking forward to it. :TU:

Its an excellent match up

A few months ago i was slating Hennessey for giving us Witter v Moura, and saying that his bills had been awful.

Tomorrows fight is excellent and Hennessey has backed his words up and delivered, and with the ITV deal i'm happy. So i was wrong

It's a shame fights like this aren't a regular occurrence. Thank you Hennesy, Froch, Pascal and everyone else who has made this happen. It's sincerely appreciated. :TU:

If he walks around near his weight, it is only through being in the gym constantly, like Bernard. I am 212, but I'm probably about 12 lbs if not 15 over my best weight, but physically, I would look like a rake standing beside Froch.

If Froch had a few months out of the ring, he would be a 14 stoner at least, he has the frame of a big light heavyweight.

By Similar token, when I met Jonny Nelson, I was amazed at how huge he was, he had shoulders like a linebacker and hands like shovels and was my height and a much much bigger man.

Maybe it is that thing of not realising how big you are yourself, I know that when I stood next to froch I was confronted by his physical presence.
i know what you mean i saw Froch vs Barney and he looked really big to me

another possibility might just be that when someone is as lean as Froch or any top fighter they might just look heavier than they are

The motivation Froch will be getting for this will be like nothing else he's felt before. We could see the very best of Carl tomorrow. I'm optimistic (but still as nervous as hell, but it's a good nervous. The sort of butterflys you get when you know something special is about to happen).
Same here.

I'm starting to get worried for Pascal. Froch is in the zone!!! He'll be dancing on JP's face by the end of the night. I've been nervous all week, but after watching the weigh in footage I'm 'supremely' confident. Froch is in motherfucking Terminator mode!! he's bringing the pain with him tonight and nothing's gonna stop him from being crowned the WBC Champ tonight :box: :box: Pascal is in a whole world of trouble, especially from round 6 onwards

12 and a half hours til fight time

AAAAAGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :witzend: :witzend: :witzend:

I am intrigued as to how this fight has come to be such a close call in many of your eyes?

Firstly, although Pascal has campaigned at 168 for a lot of fights now, he looks a natural middleweight to me.

Secondly, have you seen any of his 3 last fights - and the records of the guys he has boxed?

Again - easy night for the Cobra. It's good that many see it is a challenge - because everyone will be impressed when Froch blows him away...

Especially since I picked Froch to win by stoppage.

All I said in the post that was deleted is that the Froch fans seems to be really convinced Froch is going to win (based on the posts in this topic and on other forums) and that it almost looks like people are ready to commit suicide if Pascal somehow wins.

There's plenty more important shit going on in my life than boxing and so far I've managed to resist the temptation of committing Hari-Kiri

I won't be throwing any tantrums or stringing myself up, I'll be congratulating Pascal on what would have had to have been an awesome performance.

Pascal said he'll be 180lb in the ring, i don't know if froch ever faced a guy that big and athlethic, don't worry, yes he's 5'11, thats small but he his in a crazy shape and his style is to jump in, attack and leave. And again, the last 3 fights, he was injured. I think what you have to look at is the way he gets those wide UD, he may not be a KO monster like Froch but he knows how to boxe. I think at least you should give him a little bit of respect, they tried to match him with Miranda, then Zuniga, it did not work out, he could have gone the easy way and go for the WBO in his hometown but he choosed Froch in england knowing that the winner will face Taylor... He's definatly not looking for an easy fight.

Thought Carl looked a little freaked in some of the weigh in pics, first time he's met someone even more confident than he is? Better land a big punch early and all that'll change quick.

Will anybody do a round-by-round, or simply tell those who can't watch, when the match is over and who won? Thanks!
