Audley's next opponent confirmed.
News that the opponent was Tomasz Bonin has leaked on Auds official forum and various others here he is

This forced Audley Info on Auds forum to confirm the opponent as Bonin. They explained leaks happen all the time so they were forced to name the opponent.
Personally Im a drop disappointed and Im expecting the Hersisia treatment. This guys record is padded and he is short. But he will get Aud up those EBU rankings as he is ranked 10th. This seems the only positive I can think of.
Thoughts please.

Official press release is on the way Ill post it here as soon as it's up.
I hear what everyone is saying. However I can feel a little for Aud as he was having talks with Warren for a while which ultimately never materialised. But yet again we are using the not much time excuse. Still he is fighting top ranked european fighters even if they are the crapper ones. But hey look on the bright side at least he aint fighting Keith Long or Bob Mirovic.

I cant see Long being that much of a greater test. He aint fought in ages and is small. At least with Bonin u have the cherry of getting up the EBU rankings. With Long u wouldnt have that. Also I think it would be a similar scenario, if Aud KOs Long/Bonin before the 4th so what their rubbish. If he is taken the distance then he is a bum. People can say 'yeah but Danny went the distance with him' but that doesnt rub, that was 2 years ago and he has been knocked down by a few no-namers since then so if it was me I would go with Bonin.shakermaker wrote:Keith Long would have been a better test!!!
Still doesnt mean Im raving (that happy) about this opponent tho.

BONIN!
I hope Audley has an excuse for this bout hopefully along the lines of his original oponent dropping out. As pointed out by James the only thing Audley stands to gain from this fight is an ebu rating's boost.
I realise this is two fight within six weeks which shows hes ative but I'd rather wait another month and see him face someone decent.

It's a pretty poor choice to be fair....we all know the old "He's an unbeaten fighter" lines will be flowing from Aud but seriously Bonin is a plodder with little skill. I saw him on Eurosport against Pavel Vanacek who i believe he stopped in one round, Vanacek was a body builder type guy though trying his hand in the sport and Bonin had few problems with him...he has gone eight rounds with Garing Lane who holds a 22-34-2 record. He stopped Belgian Dirk Wallyn in five rounds, i remember Johnny Nelson blowing Wallyn away in one at Cruiserweight a few years back on a Hamed undercard. This will be an early stoppage IMO and a general mismatch.

Let's hope, if Skelton gets to Krasniqi before audley does, that matt loses comfortably, which I think he will. then warren's cynical tactic of freezing out audley will be foiled.
this bonin fight is very predictable, i remember a few months back someone cited bonin as a future opponent for audley and now here he is.
If audley doesn't get his euro shot soon, there won't be many more undefeated european padded record guys to fight.
