Come on, lay off the lad, what did you expect for his debut?

He got the job done, and from what i saw there is alot to like.
Obviously he has alot of work to do, but he's got a good jab, and knows how to put his combinations together.

For me , i'd like to see his left had up more, not go back in straight lines.
Hopefully see him in the ring again soon, there is now alot of heavies starting out in the UK, which can only be good for us

If he's being matched the same in his next couple of fights, then yes i will moan.
But tonight was about getting him used to the pro set up, bit of tv exposure,

He will get matched like that in his next few fights, because every pro does, except maybe those coming out of the Olympics. That's just the way it goes. He's gonna knock over at least 10 to 15 stiff's before we start seeing him in with guy's who have any sort of real ambition.

It will be interesting to see how Hennessey develops Fury, as in the past Hennessey hasn't held back in putting his boxers in competitive fights, but with a heavyweight the rewards financially are far higher.
So will he protect his investment?

And although its very early days, does anyone else see a similarity to Gerry Cooney in the way Fury holds his hands, and in the looks department

Difficult to make any judgements on the basis of such a ridiculous mismatch, but I thought he looked in poor condition, particularly for a young guy. He's marketable, which will ensure he gets a profile regardless, but at this stage I find it hard to envisage him making it past British level.
