Congratulations to Carl froch this has got to be up for fight of the year both guys gave it all & WTF were those two screeming banshees doing on the ring walk a couple of early round rejects from X factor . I thought the undercard was top draw Mr Warren should take note I bet the punters left happier than those who went to the Excel Here it was the same old story a 2 round blow out for Khan, Enzo gets to beat on another punchbag & Fraudley gets beat by a Belfast Cabby

Totally agree, FWarren is a fecking joker.Asterix wrote:Macca vs Ellis and Khan vs Fagan were overly one-sided. So much so, that I felt bad for the guys on the receiving end.
Whereas Froch vs Pascal was competitive and absolutely fan-fucking-tastic.
Hennessy Sports was most definitely superior to Sports Network tonight.

Booty Luv are OK but not live.
Sky's shows are normally pretty good, as long as they have a decent promotion. Let's face facts - Hennessy's bills are very good, and Matchroom's aren't bad either but SN's stink.
Although it was a bit cheeky Sky asking us to pay to watch that show last night.
ITV's was much better, but it they had had the Sports Network show on there I think we would be moaning about ITV today.

Did ANYONE watch Harrison-Rogan?
I believe this fight started pretty much in line with the real boxing on ITV1. Did anyone have the nerve to remain on the A-Force train (bound for a rematch with Matthew Ellis) and give the Froch fight a miss? The viewing figures on Sky at around 11pm must have been staggering...-ly bad.
If anyone was brave enough to watch Harrison-Rogan - or even catched a replay - how did the fight go? Did Rogan deserve the points nod? Is Harrison still on track to fulfill his dream? How many fights is Big Aud away from a world title shot now? Does anyone else think Froch and Pascal both would have sparked Harrison?

I watched in between the Froch rounds but didnt catch many of the middle rounds cos the Froch fight was so good - but caught the end again and just watched the reply on Sky Box office.Eraserhead wrote:I believe this fight started pretty much in line with the real boxing on ITV1. I'll tell you who also got an arse-kicking last night...Golden Boy Promotions. What a pile of steaming hot shite that card was. Aside from the circus attraction at the top of the show, we had Juanma, Ortiz and Jacobs all involved in dire mismatches - each ending within a few minutes. It was embarassing.
I watched the show on HBO and Lampley and co. had to fill 45 awkward minutes talking about Hearns/Leonard in order to fill time. Oscar and Manny were stipulated to be in the ring no sooner than 11pm and the joke of a card Golden Boy put on wound up at 10.15! It was crazy. Nothing happened for nearly an hour. Fwank Wazza eat your heart out

Fantastic show from Hennessy. Him and ITV are a match made in heaven

I liked Booty luv thing
Thou my taste in music is poor. I still think there should be music inbetween rounds like other promotions do around the world.

Last night's show combined with the terrestial TV deal surely places Hennessy as Britain's top promoter

Let's see if he can deliver on a regular basis. I've always been a fan of Hennessy's shows, but his whole 'enterprise' hinges very much on the success of Carl Froch. It always has done and it could have swung one way or the other yesterday. If Froch had lost, the whole idea of Hennessy Sports being top dog would seem ludicrous. It's a really thin line between success and failure for Hennessy. Who else is there? Witter is pointless and, WBC belt aside, always has been. Herbie's good for a laugh, but is hardly going places. Is John Murray still with Hennessy? If so, you've got him as well. Then you've got a few decent English title-level guys who put on pretty scraps but are hardly going to set the world alight.
Hennessy's shows deliver what they say on the tin. They're usually good value. Let's just see if they can sustain it and deliver fights that are worthy of ITV1. It may be easier said than done.
