Bosworth fed up with Hennessy promises...

Post by bennie »

Northampton brawler Alan Bosworth has vented his frustration at boxing politics that are delaying a fight for the British light-welterweight title.
The 36-year-old had agreed with promoter Mick Hennessy to fight Oscar Hall for the title tonight at the Nottingham Ice Arena, but champion Junior Witter still hasn't vacated.
Witter takes on Italian Salvatore Battaglia tonight for the European belt.
Bosworth said: "I'm sick of being mucked about. I'm fighting better than ever but I haven't boxed for six months.
"I was supposed to be fighting tonight and then June 19 on the Audley Harrison bill, but nothing is happening.
"I can't afford to be sitting about at my age, I've got a family to feed and support. I've vacated my English title and turned down a chance to fight for the EU title, because I've been promised the British title bout, but nothing has happened.
"If Witter doesn't vacate tonight then I will go a different route."
Bosworth has already been in touch with Matchroom in a bid to take on Colin Lynes for his IBO title.

Oh, that's how they're going to apphease him. Fair enough for Bozzy. But Witter will bust him up again.
