Merging of threads.... rock the vote!

Over the last few months it has become aparent to me that the merging of threads has been stepped up a level or ten. Its gotten to the point where i feel us users need to be having our say on wether we want this merging to continue as it currently is or have it toned down and returned back to how things were this time last year, for example!

I was just about to write that. Emerson is not only responsible for most of the uncalled for merging but he is a right bottle job as well.

There's another thread on merging out there so by today's standards thats one to many on the same subject. Perfect merging material for any mod with itchy fingers!
