Calzaghe Promotions

Post by twenty six »

I understand the first show takes place next February.
Does anyone know who within Calzaghe Promotions holds a Promotors licence, or is this to be run "in conjunction with ......." ?
Could we see signings made shortly ?

I don`t really see this happening .. who is left for him to sign? .. who would even risk it?? .. I mean, a few guys actually left his gym over his dispute with Fwank.

T - it's happening alright.
If you have a Promotional Company you have to have a stable of boxers - end of.
Why wouldn't Maccaroni, Pryce, Rees and Cleverly sign with him for starters (subject to current contractual arrangements) ?
Enzo has always pushed his guys to Wazza.
Why would he do anything other than take them away now at the earliest oppertunity ?
Kerry Hope v Taz Jones is an already done deal.

Cleverly left the newbridge gym already .. pryce and reese haven`t done anything since the dispute has started .. and they`d be silly imo if they jumped ship now .. both had made massive steps forward prio to the calzaghe v warren dispute.

Tonyevs,
Surely the facts you are giving support the argument they SHOULD move Promotor.
You are right Wazza SEEMS to be freezing them out, so why sit on your arse inactive if you can strike a deal with Calzaghe Promotions and stay at the same gym ?
What's the alternative ?
Hope Calzaghe and Wazza kiss and make up ?
Switch gyms to please Wazza ?

what has calzaghe got to bargain with to get his guys oppurtunities?? .. nothing.
the best they could hope for is a shot at the welsh titles .. they would be frozen out by the big promoters for the bigger titles.

If I was the guys mentioned I`d be praying they do kiss and make up .. a boxers career isn`t a long one and whilst joe and enzo have made their money Bradley and gavin will barely have the price of a bus ticket in theirs.

My guess apart from the obv; Tony D and Dai Davies spring to mind. Shame Gary has retired.
