Gilberto's nationality at time of fights was Italian. Although he lives in Melbourne, Australia and married an Australian citizen, he has never taken out Australian citizenship.

the 1967 bout against Don Johnson was a TKO for cut eyes not KO as he was never knocked out in his professional career:
the 1974 fight against Andy Broome was for the Australian Junior Lightweight Title:
the 1966 fight against Kimpo Amarfio was a win not a loss. This is according to the person himself who is adamant that he never lost to Amafio.
