This fight was part of the Tommy Morrison undercard in Tulsa, Oklahoma on ESPN that evening. The fight was an 8 Round Heavyweight fight. Derrick Roddy came in at 248 lbs. with a record at that time of 15-4 with 13 ko's. Sherman Griffin came in that fight at 233 lbs. with a record of 17-5 with 13 ko's. Fight result: Split Decision winner Derrick Roddy with socring of 75-76, 77-75, & 78-74. This fight is not listed under either fighters record. Thought you might want to make note.

Wait a sec, a Roddy fight with no knockdowns? I refuse to believe it!

actually, there were 3 knockdowns in round 3.....all 3 were considered low blows, though the ref didn't have a good view of the third knockdown...a clean bodyshot......so the knockdowns were there...
