Dean Hickman kayoed Adnan Amar in the eighth. Early on, Amar boxed and moved in typical Ingle fashion, without really discouraging his man, and Hickman started getting to him from the seventh and a big left hook lowered the boom a round later.
Amar was out cold.
Steve Timms outpointed Mark Phillips in a six-rounder on the bill. Timms won every round on Terry O'Connor's card but Phillips looked to have won at least a couple and announced his retirement in the ring afterwards.
Gary Coombes drew with Kristian Laight 58-58 in a lively six-rounder. Coombes looked like he had pipped Laight.
Telford's former ABA finalist Tristan Davies looked impressive in his debut with a 60-54 shutout of Buckley. Even the Brummie veteran was impressed by the debutant's display.
Fight of the night saw Danny Norton, down twice in the second and saved by the bell, turn the tables in the third to force a sensational stoppage of Simeon Cover.

I'm always lurking, Terry. Like to watch from the back and observe. Journalists are isolated at the front and miss out on all the 'faces' milling around and all the goss. Nobby walked past at one point and shouted "No autographs."TerribleTerry wrote:Were you there Bennie?
I was there myself and have just sent my report to Britishboxing.net
It was a quality show - the best I have seen at the town hall. Great stuff.

I am usually on the balcony with the lads but last nite sat ringside and had a good chat with Roddy Doran who can't wait to get back in the mix in September, and also Dominic Ingle so it was worthwhile.bennie wrote:I'm always lurking, Terry. Top nite's action.
Just to let all you Midland fight fans know, boxing returns to Aston Villa Leisure Centre on Thursday 8th July - come down and support the Birmingham fight scene - it could do with a shot in the arm.
