:o Steady...

Let's see if he can deliver on a regular basis. I've always been a fan of Hennessy's shows, but his whole 'enterprise' hinges very much on the success of Carl Froch. It always has done and it could have swung one way or the other yesterday. If Froch had lost, the whole idea of Hennessy Sports being top dog would seem ludicrous. It's a really thin line between success and failure for Hennessy. Who else is there? Witter is pointless and, WBC belt aside, always has been. Herbie's good for a laugh, but is hardly going places. Is John Murray still with Hennessy? If so, you've got him as well. Then you've got a few decent English title-level guys who put on pretty scraps but are hardly going to set the world alight.

Hennessy's shows deliver what they say on the tin. They're usually good value. Let's just see if they can sustain it and deliver fights that are worthy of ITV1. It may be easier said than done.

Junior Witter good scrap in comeback shows he still has it
Jon Thaxton European Champ
Herbie Hide in the mix for WBC Title challenge
Danny McIntosh looks like he has potential
Darren Barker Commonwealth Champ
Elcock British Champ
Paul David tough lad and entertaining possible challenger for British Super Middle strap
Murray beats the Scotch lad MacAllister
Tyson Fury looks like he has some promise.
Adnan Amar English Champ looking to beat Craig Watson in next match up
Froch World Champ
looks like a healthy stable to me, so far the shows have been good and I for one expect this to continue.
Good quality domestic scraps but are they good enough to build big shows around in the future?

Good point Coco - but I suppose collectively they are a very solid package of fighters.

When we point at Warren and ask the same, all we have are Khan, Macca, Clev, Arthur and Cook.

At least with the hennessy stable, they will fight legit fights for domestic and European honours - not phony inter-stable fights for dubious world titles. Take the super featherweight WBO strap, it was picked up by Arthur, who lost it to Cook and now defends to Foster - unless im mistaken, i thought they were all Warren fighters? you would have expected the WBO to be wanting the likes of Valero etc to fight them for it...

It seems Fwank and Universum pick and choose whom they're champs will fight. At very least 'influence'.

Give me board-backed domestic title fights any day over that !

It's a tough one. Froch, Witter and Hide boxing for world titles on ITV or a few people watching Enzo, Cook and Arthur in their bedsits ?

To put on the big shows to develop your prospects you need a headliner. Froch is a given, but then he needs to fight at home, who knows about Hide, and his promoter is German, is Witter still in the mix?
I feel Hennessy needs to strengthen his headline fighters to develop his undercard boys.

FW of course is in a similar position with the loss of Hatton and JC, but has Khan, Macca, Cook, Arthur to headline and he has just signed the 3 Olympians.

Hennseey defo need to strenghten his stable

Hide, Witter & Thaxton cant have more than 2 fights left in them

\\\\\\\\\witter may have slipped on the world scene but he can still be involved on the european & domestic scene he is far from finished. I agree that Jon Thraxton only has a couple more left But Herbie hide just keeps going & I can see him yet fighting for a world title again. With the succes of Carl I think quite a few boxers will be making their way to the Hennesey camp & if he keeps putting on top class promotions like last saturday he can only go from strength to strength
