What's up everybody?!
What's up everybody?!
I'm new here. Just making a post to introduce myself. My name is Donte Strayhorn and I box also. I finished third at the 2008 National P.A.L. I'm 17 years old and this is my first year as a open fighter. Any way I'm just introducing myself. ![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Re: What's up everybody?!
i like the way you boldy came on and set your presence. if you have similar ring presence, you'll be making gold in no time.
Re: What's up everybody?!
Yes, Im from Cincinnati, ohio, and also known as Donie Strayhorn according to Michael Smith's rankings, lol.
Re: What's up everybody?!

Maybe you two can have a matched bout in NY or PA. Sort of half way for each of you.Unit wrote:waddupman...

Northside is a huge gym. You are lucky to have such a nice facility.p4p2012 wrote:Yea...maybe we could. I train at Northside boxing gym in cincy. Welcome Donte, from Squarering here on the east coast. I am the crazy one they all try to hide by sending viruses to my computer....well Mel at least but I keep popping up like a bad penny. I too like the way you introduced yourself and agree with Trained By Chad that that kind of confidence will serve you well in the ring. Look forward to seeing you at one of the shows. We were in Cincy last year during the Midwest trials and got to see the opening day parade of Reds it was pretty cool and a big deal.

Damn! I really need to find one that works!I am the crazy one they all try to hide by sending viruses to my computer....well Mel at least

Yes, I was at your gym for a regional tourney. It was either a J.O. or Silver Gloves Regional. It was a couple of years ago (perhaps even 4 or 5 years ago). I was impressed with the 3 rings, dozens of heavy bags, speed bags, double-end bags and other bags. It had an indoor track around the perimeter of the gym. Very nice for cold and inclement weather.p4p2012 wrote:You've been there before?
My younger son also boxed a kid from your gym a few years ago at a club show in Sheboygan, WI. I liked that your gym is willing to travel over 400 miles to compete at a club show.
Re: What's up everybody?!
We always travel. We sponsor ourselves and we're willing to drive or fly anywhere in the U.S or over seas to compete. What is your son's name?
Re: What's up everybody?!
Too bad the reds suck and thank you. I appreciate it. Just tell me when you are throwing a show and I will talk to my coach about it.squarering wrote:Welcome Donte, from Squarering here on the east coast. It is really nice to have a bingo hall to generate funds for a boxing gym. We used to have a gym that had the same thing and we always had expense money to cover the costs of trips. The State of Michigan made it so most amateur sports can no longer host bingo games and use the money to help their sports. Without that funding, it means we don't do as many out-of-state trips. Don't take what you have for granted. You should feel very lucky and appreciative.
Re: What's up everybody?!
How old is he?
And ur rite. I won't take anything for granted. I appreciate everything they do for me.
