For all of you that don’t know Andrew Murray and many don’t he is one of the most under rated boxers from Ireland.
He just doesn’t seem to get the fights like others do. He is still relatively young at 26 or something.
I was at that fight and Andy was very good, can’t believe though he hasn’t had a fight since than. I wish Brian Peters would get his finger out and get Andy a good fight which he deserves……

03mcgs0, Andy is a cracking fighter and lovely guy too, I met him up in Letterkenny and again after his cut stoppage win over James Gorman in the Ulster Hall, both of which were decnt fights.
Recently I bumped in Andy again in Coalisland when he was down every night in one week with Brian McKeown (his old Cavan AMA coach) helping out with the Cavan Club AMA boxers, many of who were in the ring for their first time and I have to say he had time to talk to everyone and really gave those first timers a real confidence boost. It was great to see an active Pro putting so much time back in to the Ama kids.
Andy needs more fights and needs to take a step up in opposition soon, he has all the tools and just needs time in the ring to be able to prove what he can really do.

Yeah I very much agree, he needs more fights and a step up in opponent. I always wonder does he get any good spars in Cavan, not very likely, he'd have a travel up to Belfast or go to Dublin as its only amateurs around the cavan area. I've a horrible feeling that Andy might end up a wasted talent, I seriously hope not, don’t think he’s getting the best coaching or sparing session or fights to really progress his career to the heights that he could potentially reach…..
(By the way he was offered to fight Khan on relatively late notice before Prescott, he turned it down cause he wasn’t prepared)
