Yes, Sanavia moved up from middle. He had been scheduled to fight Eastman in a WBC middleweight final eliminator but was offered the Beyer fight and stepped up a weight.

So Eastman becomes WBC mandatory?

He already is WBC number one but has weak management and they can't secure him a shot. The WBC will probably make Eastman fight someone else now in a final eliminator. Mickey Duff would never have allowed a number one contender to be messed around like this.

Apologies for all the questions but why does he have to fight final eliminators if he is now number one mandatory?

Is it because he is Howard Eastman?

And what chance of Hopkins fighting him anyway?

It's because Hopkins can make huge money for the WBC by fighting someone like Oscar De La Hoya (who he'll fight in the autumn if they both come through tonight). Eastman brings nothing to the table, so is kept waiting for his chance by the WBC.

I wonder if the #3 ranked fighter will be promoted to #2.

Eastman vs Taylor - if Hopkins has to vacate this is a worthy world title fight, I tip Eastman.

Whilst, Sanavia isn't a particularly good fighter (like worse than Haakar) I'm not exactly suprised with this, Beyer should retire - Glenn Cately F'd him up mentally, he is so gunshy now.

He lost heavily (IMO) to Lucas and was going to lose vs Green, now this.

Its a shame because the Beyer vs Woodhall would have given the best Supermiddles problems.

eastman is missing out big time here :x watching that hopkins-allen fight really pissed me off last night

allen's effort was piss poor least eastman would have been trying.

sanavia won't hold that for long
