Skelton hurt Bob in the first with a right uppercut. Bob showed experience to take a count and has come back to shut Skelton's right eye in the second. It's good stuff.

Mirovic quits in the corner against the wishes of his trainer who pleads with him to continue, saying Skelton is out on his feet and close to being stopped on the eye. But Big Bob has had enough.

Skelton just said his corner sent him out to stop Mirovic in the fourth due to the severity of the eye, which was swollen and cut.

I admire Skelton's heart and determination, and his desire to get it on with fighters, but anyone who gets into a 3 round war with Big Bob isn't going anywhere at world level.

Mirovic ain't bad, you know. He gave the giant Russian Nicolay Valuev an eight-round war in Germany last year before losing on points. He's better than he looks. Skelton did well to survive the crisis of the swollen eye in my opinion. He's got the right instincts.

He's still very limited Bennie. I get where you are coming from, but I don't buy into Skelton.

I think he has showed us where his level is at tonight.

Very true. In fairness to Skelton (and Kilburn has already mentioned this), he's not one for talking about unifying world titles like Carl Froch. He seems to know where he can go and where he can't.

Skelton went in their with the intention of stopping him early and people making comparisons with Williams, I think they may well have stopped it in the next round because of the cut. Big Bob's corner didn't want him to quit!
