Your record is different from CBZ's...

You guys have him with 2 more bouts than them, 1 loss and 1 win, as well as 2 more KO's...

One of the bouts you have that they don't is Angel L10 to Ralph Palladin on 2/5/77, I didn't look through all 200 + of his fights though

Also, some Decision discrepencies...

On 1/6/78, CBZ has Angel L8 to Jean Symos, you have Angel L10 to Symos...
There are others too, I just didn't jot them down when i was comparing them...

I switched the Decision win to a kay in the Frank Kolovart fight, based on what Mike DeLisa told me. I also added a fight in 56-57 that was a KO win. The Palladin fight came off of Palladin's record. Finally the Symos fight shows a W 10 on Symos's record in the 1979 RING

So CBZ is a little off on their record?

I would'nt call CBZ a little off like so many other sources. Sometimes additional research will uncover things before unknown even from the best of sources.

Well, as Matt noted, he and I have been exchanging research on Angel for some time --we started with the "record book" version then have added details and corrections over the years.

I actually have been just to lazy to add the new info Matt found to the CBZ -- and too lazy to add info I found!

I would confirm that the ARG record here is the most up-to-date.

Mike: I am still awaiting the Las Vegas paper so that The Garcia-Kolovart result can be confirmed-unless of course someone else has already confirmed it.Also, if you ever get the motivation to do so, please add whatever new info about Garcia that you have. His career was extremely interesting and any new details would be very much appreciated.Do you think that Garcia really had over 300 pro fights as Dr. Pacheco stated in his book that was excerpted on CBZ?

Justin: go to cyberboxingzone.com. In their encyclopedia section click on journeymen and tomato cans. You will see Angel Robinson Garcia. There is an excerpt from Pacheco's book as well as an outstanding article written in appreciation of Garcia's career. These are must reads for boxing fans. As for the name of the Pacheco book, I can't recall it right now;I do know that it is out of print, unfortunately.

Mike: The library was not able to get the Las Vegas paper from 1974 so that I could confirm the Garcia-Kolovart result. The asked me for a $10.00 fee to try again to obtain it.I'm not prepared to pay $10.00 for this second attempt.
