i cant see hatton vilches being acceptable as a main event personally.

Severly embarrasing for Warren.

With the poor quality shows he's been putting on of late and his failure to deliver genuine world title fights for Hatton, it seems he is losing his way.

Still the same thing happened to Duff & Co. They became too complacent.

I'd advise Hatton & Calzaghe to join up with a BBC Promoter.

I would love these two to get on a BBC related contract. It could signal a spell of "prime time" boxing events screened live to a whole new audience.

However, I don't think we can blame Calzaghe's promotor though for his constant stream of injuries, self inflicted or not

The Hatton issue would be different IMO, but I won't go there today...

What are the chances of Hatton going to the US? Based over there, with a US promoter, he could make serious wedge and get the chances he wants. It would take one good, well-promoted fight to get a big gang of fans.

They sure will - no worse than his recent "shows" unfortunately.
With Hatton's Man City fans turning out in force, Warren can put him in with Noel Edmonds and it'll still sell out.

I was just trying to remember how many times in recent memory Calzaghe had pulled out of bouts. I remember the Mgerioefrghjkfegjopre bout was postponed, which others did he pull out of?

Why has Joe got a bad back, that's what I want to know. Sparring or too much rumpy pumpy with that new blond lass of his!!!

Seriously though, shouldn't joke about his much publicised split from his wife as I feel for his children and wife. My mate's going through the same thing at the moment and he's in a bit of a state and really struggling to concentrate on his work. Not nice to have to watch.

God knows what it must be like to go through that and then have to prepare for a world-title fight, if that's the real reason he's pulled out then fair enough because his personal life is more important than 12 rounds with Glen Johnson.

Hope Joe is back soont hough, because he's the best we've got at the moment and I think he'll be very strong at light-heavy.

I have a hard time feeling sorry for Joe under the circumstances. Sorry for his wife & kids, yes - but not for him.

Anyway, if he's feeling bad, he can always snuggle his face into the (ample) bosoms of his Lady Tarterly, erm, I mean, board-licensed back injury specialist, and have himself a good cry.

Eric, while I agree Joe shouldn't have been messing around so close to a fight its a bit harsh as the facts are mixed. Perhaps (for all we know) it was his wife who commited adultery first - or perhaps Joe had another reason to leave her.

We just don't know these circumstances of the split, but yes the Kids are certainly innocent victims (I'm sure Mandy is aswell - but we don't know). Remember how the media first potrayed that Abi Tittmuss bird, she was a saint originally - untill it was discovered she was messing around aswell.

I agree that it's hard to second guess the workings of a relationship, and none of us have a clue what's going on.

I'm just pissed off that Calzaghe has pulled out and yet another fight has been postponed in what is the worst year for cancelled fights in living memory.
