The thing that pisses me off about Fight Night is they never have enough boxers. It's designed for the casual fan who just wants to play with his mates. Having loads of boxers is a key ingredient in a boxing game for me.

I'm more looking forward to the UFC game which will also be out next year. They should have most, if not all their fighters in it.

Undisputed will be heavily dependent on them getting the controls right. FNR4 has 60 real-life boxers in it. Plus Lennox has been in charge of the motion capturing (which they have done for each and every fighter, instead of blanket like FNR3).

Licensing mate - costs a bomb. Boxers ask for a load of wedge to be featured in the game.

Not possible. It's hard enough to license one boxer, let alone how much they have already.

I would still be playing Fight Night to this day if they actually made it resemble boxing. Fixes I want to see for this...

1 - They need to fix the jab so that it is an actually effective punch and not as bad as hitting the guy with a cushion.

2 - Not be so KO happy. The whole game just seemed to be built around landing haymakers. Yes, KO's are exciting and an essential part of boxing but not every fight is an all out Hagler/Hearns slug fest. Players who want to actually fight like a boxer should be rewarded too.

3 - Online was unplayable. Again, this was mainly down to people just non stop throwing haymakers which were over effective to the point where there was little point in throwing standard punches back at them. Fights nearly NEVER went the distance online, and if they did, both guys had probably visted the canvas 3 or 4 times.

4 - Much better career mode that is more representitive of boxing.

5 - Don't make training such a chore. I can't tell you how many times I groaned when I realized I had to beat up on the light dummy again.

Honestly, the best game they ever made was Knockout Kings 2001. I still play that game every now and then. I don't like the direction they've gone with the Fight Night series, and I HATE the stick controls in every game that they've used them in. In FN, I hate throwing hooks when I meant to throw and uppercut, such a narrow differenc. They mean it to be an extension of you but if you were fighting for real in the ring, you wouldn't even have to think about this stuff, which the stick makes me do. If it is mapped to a button, then I instictively know where it is, but Fight Night seems to punish players who map controls away from the sticks.

They used the anologue controls in Skate as well and that was just as annoying.

....i got it from another boxing forum.....i just googled it, and it is all over the game forums as well but apparently it isn't official. It looks like it has been floating around the forums for a few weeks and i can't see anywhere saying that EA have come out and said it is rubbish

Feck off.

I know it's difficult to get boxers to sign up, I'm just saying what I'd like to see happen. I'm well aware it's unlikely to do so.

If you've got an xbox 360 by the time the game comes out Shitman, I'll be happy to kick your arse at it. :box:

Licensing top boxers is expensive, however if they could put together a list like that mentioned above and then supplement it with domestic level boxers from the USA, Mexico and the UK who are cheap to license, that would allow them to have a much greater amount of actual boxers in the game.

It makes it even harder when the fighter doesn't own the rights, like Ali.
