Danny Williams tends to get a shout in situations like these. But it can't hide the fact that the last genuine world title fight staged by Frankie boy came in December 2000. That's unacceptable.

this fight would of course be for the prestigious WBU intercontinental interim catchweight belt which has just become vacant thanks to Steve Maynards recent bout falling through, with Ricky Hatton having options on fighting the winner.

subject of course to BBBC approval

To be screened by the Beeb after midnight on a Wednesday night, presented by Inverdale, wearing a nice polo neck and summarised with moments of hyperbole from Buncie having been sucking on helium to get his voice just that little bit higher than it should be. Richie Woodahall will be there looking like he wishes he was somewhere else

Your commentator for the night will be Jim Neilly who will talk utter shit for 3 minutes per round. Summarising will be Duke McKenzie who will give every round to either Audley Harrison or Carl Froch on "Dukes Unofficial Scorecard"

Didn't popular rumour have it that Tyson has already bashed him in the ring?
