I am told Tony Jeffries is fighting a couple to 3 weeks later.

Yes to TV.

Not sure if Femi Fehintola is on the undercard in a rematch against Ryan Barrett.

Jersey is going loopy for boxing mate!!! that is a fact - whilst it maybe a logistical nightmare for the TV companies and the fans from the mainland = I am telling you now the show will sell out big time and with some big paying punters!!! - the only problem for Dennis on this particular show is getting a venue big enough.

Former IBF light-heavyweight champion Clinton Woods takes on Albania's Elvir Muriqi in a 12-round eliminator for his old belt in February in Jersey (where?)
Woods dropped the belt to Antonio Tarver in April over in Florida. Sadly, in his fifth defence, Clinton failed to perform against the slick, hard-punching Tarver and lost widely on the scorecards, and there were subsequent calls for his retirement. The Sheffield man is 36 and has racked up 46 fights in his 14 years as a pro. Renowned for his grit and craftiness and his late surge, Woods showed none of it against Tarver, although his iron jaw didn't let him down, at least.
Muriqi also lost to southpaw Tarver recently (June 2007) - but it was much closer, a majority 12-round decision over in Connecticut. Based in New York, where he has spent his entire 10-year career, Muriqi took the fight to Tarver and made it hard for him all the way through and there were plenty of boos at the verdict. Muriqi is nothing special, and quite short for a light-heavyweight, but he is rugged and hardworking - good on the inside - and looks the fresher man of the two at 29. He belted Philadelphia's Jameel Wilson in four rounds earlier this year in the Bronx, whereas Woods has yet to fight since Tarver and could certainly have done with a loosener, a morale-boosting 10-rounder.
Muriqi will get stuck into Woods, make no mistake about that.

Spud, no disrespect - but since you have honestly admitted to lying about your views on Hatton vs Collazo - it is hard to know when you are honest or toeing the party line. No disrespect intended, my original thoughts with the Fehintola fight was that it must be due to tax reasons - it just seems odd.

Well I didn't know Dennis lived in Jersey - good luck to the fight. I think its a strange location and I am entilled to that opinion.

As for the "forget the no disrespect bollocks" - okay, if you want me to forget it fine by me. Just don't "write the truth" and then later say "well actually I lied cause I was toeing the party line".

Infact what is the reason, cause Hobson lives in Jersey or cause Jersey is going loopy for boxing?

Has anybody looked at Muriqis record? They only names I recognise are Tarver and Santiago.

Santiago Wko and Santiago was Ko'd by Tarver!

Don't know any other name on there.

Never seen him box before, could he trouble Woods?

Clinton is at an age when it could all come crumbling down against anyone.

There was a look of resignation and lack of appetite versus Tarver that will forbid me to favour him ever again.

I don't know much about Elvis Mullarky though.

I fancy an upset here. Muriqi has the no-nonsense style to give a lethargic version of Woods (i.e. the impostor that faced Tarver) some serious problems.

All depends on which Clinton turns up. If it's the one that was in Tampa, he should retire... but he probably knows that
