Has anyone seen him fight?

The only thing i know about him is he was beaten in 4 by mitchell, this maybe suggests hatton could really blow this guy away in the first couple of rounds, mitchell is no knockout artist so im assuming he either caught vilches a corker or vilches was by far overawed by him... any comments.

Yes, and I noticed Omar Weis fights Terrance Cauthen on June 25 in the States. Why couldn't Hatton have fought the more proven Weis? Vilches has beaten Weis I know, but that came in Vilches' hometown years ago and was a stinker by all accounts.
Vilches has won only four of his last eight outings (one a no-contest).

pretty well considering most were sold on the strenght of calzaghe johnson, hatton looking likely to fight mitchell or n'dou and even (when i bought them) gomez being on the card!

Vilches fell over after missing with a right hand in the first round against Mitchell and never really got into the fight. To be honest, he looked awful - but maybe we have to measure that with Mitchell, who looked very sharp indeed. Vilches was beating rugged American Emanuel Augustus before losing on a cut in eight rounds, but that was back in 2002.
Still, to have the edge over someone like Augustus is decent form, and he won't be rusty (he fought a 10-rounder in April). He seems to be one of those fighters who takes a few rounds to get into a fight. If he survives Hatton's early body attacks, he may manage to extend him.
