Wilton lost 40-39, was a very close fight and to be honest I've heard from a few people who where at the bill that Luke had Ahmed out on his feet in the 1st. From the 2nd rnd on Ahmed held and spoiled. Would be interested to hear a decent fight report from some one at the bill as what I hear might be biased.

Willie Thompson drew 38-38 after losing a point for using the head. Apparently there had been a fair bit of head banging before the deduction.

for anyone who watched the live broadcast from 8pm to 10pm on sky sports , did sky have anyone in the studio analysing the fights like johnny nelson usually does.

i only saw the repeat (broadcast at 12.30am). on the repeat there was no one in the studio analysing the fights. also there was no little report before the fights like craig slater etc normally do. they showed the after fight interview and then moved straight onto the mext fight. they had no report with interviews before the munroe or sutherland fights like they would usually show.

i'm just wodering does anybody know was the repeat the exact same as the repeat broadcast? thanks.

One thing I really didn't like was Hughes' behaviour after stopping Power. The lad had every right to be pleased with himself - its a win he's unlikely to better after all - but to show such disrespect not just to his oppoentn but to the fans in attendance was an alarming spectacle. I hope the BBBC will do the right thing and issue some form of disciplinary penalty over this unedifying spectacle.

Thompson was lucky to get a draw and Ahmed deserved his win. He was well beaten in the first round but never out on his feet. I thought he won the next 3 although they were close

I disagree with Chris S on both of those, I had Wilton winning 39-37 and although I missed the first round of Thompson v Chiverton I thought he won the next 3 including the round with a point deduction so deserved the fight.

What did you expect? A brisk handshake and a post-fight glass of port. This is a sport in which Nigel Benn went absolutely bonkers and led a cry of "Who is he?" whilst a stricken opponent was clearly in great distress. Benn then composed himself, and had a pop at Gary Newbon (did anyone see that caller call him a 'F-ing c*nt' on Sky? Newbon, not Benn).

I expected better than that - the Benn incident was pretty much a one off in my experience, and I have seen nothing anywhere near that in the intervening decade and a half. Davis (yes, I did get him confused with Hughes - apologies) behaved appallingly - his language as well as his shameless showboating.

One of the things I like about boxing, and one of the things I think is a selling point for the sport, is the fact that after the bout the participants are usually genuinely concerned for one another and interested to make contact.

Apparently so Steve, very odd score. I am sort of sorry I didn't just bite the bullet and drive down myself no to watch these 3 x 10-10 rounds. Well I'll give you a shout when I get the DVD of the show mate and will drop a copy over to you.

Fair enough mate, subjective sport. I can't remember what I had Chiverton, but Wilton's fight I had 39-37 the other way, but can see why you had that score because rounds 2,3, and 4 were close. perhaps both fights can happen again.

Watched this last night- credit to the promotor for putting on a competative bill, from what I saw and the results it looks like there were a lot of good match ups on that undercard.

What was Davis saying after his fight? He seems a bit .... odd.. to be honest.

Another thing, I think the ref scored the Hyland fight 59-54. How does that add up? I didn;t see a knockdown or a point deduction, but for that scoreline, one round must have been 10-8.

Thanks Gareth. I am eager to catch both Luke and Willie's bouts. I don't think the loss will do much harm to Luke at this stage, particularly given the nature of the bout. It's just good to see him active which is the important thing.

Irving and Tiedt did 3 fights each I think(all the fights that weren't title fights), and notably Mickey Vann did the Commonwealth title fight as there is no age restrictions in Ireland on referees.

to be honest i know y davis was so happy after stopping power because on numerous occasions power was saying that he was a bun abd that he was going to knock him out in the 1st round so y show respect to some1 who has badmouthed you to every1 that would listen

Doesn't wash - if Power was behaving badly beforehand (and I saw no evidence of that - can you offer a link?) then a dignified silence would have been plenty.
