Those Box Monthly wherearetheynow articles are great. Sibson and Dave Boy Green next year?
Wonder what Roy Gumbs is up to these days??
Yeah Sibson has been like a ghost since he lost to Frank Tate.....Kirkland Laing would also be a good one, perpetually.
I'd be interested in what Paul Hodkinson was doing - another underrated performer.
And what did happen to the Collins brothers? Sugar Gibiliru is another name I remember...so called journey man who won the British title.....always liked his haircut!

Yes it's above the half moon tavern, right on half moon lane. More of a boxercise gym than anything else.

The Kaylor era was a bit before my time but I was surprised he didn't rate Herol Graham as world class. I bought BM for the first time in years seen as it was Xmas and I was impressed. Can't recall why I stopped subscribing in the first place but the writing was spot on.

Re: MARK KAYLOR - BOXING MONTHLY
Clinton McKenzie is a very good call. His amatuer and pro achievements should get more attention. Gave Sugar Ray Leonard a good fight in the 76 Olympics.
Re: MARK KAYLOR - BOXING MONTHLY
Dennis Andries or John L Gardener. I nearly wrote John L Sullivan then! Also Colin Jones, Lloyd Honeygan and Tony Sibson.
Re: MARK KAYLOR - BOXING MONTHLY
There was a piece on Colin Jones about 5/6 years ago (maybe more) in BM.

Re: MARK KAYLOR - BOXING MONTHLY
This is a problem we have, we did Colin Jones, Sibbo, Conteh in the past and while we have a new format for the retro pieces, I don't want to go over old ground, it would feel like we were ripping you chaps off.
Re: MARK KAYLOR - BOXING MONTHLY
Good point. Clinton McKenzie would be nice that case. :)
Talking of Colin Jones, BBC Wales did an excellent short on him a few weeks ago. It was based around his title winning effort against Kirkland Laing.
