I wonder how Hatton gets himself into shape like that, he seems to be able to really whip himself into shape for every fight, despite having a lot of weight to lose in a relatively short space of time.

yeah, he must...i remember at the matthew hatton fight, Hatton looked pretty blown up. Losing all that weight so quick will shorten his career though.

Surely this constant weight fluxuation will takes it's toll on Rickys system eventually?

Yep it isn't good for you. Why he can get away with it at the mo? He's only hitting punchbags

That's what I was thinking, there is also the age facter once Ricky gets to his late 20's early 30 the weight will be much harder to shift. It can't go on like this if he wants to still be effective in say 5 years time.

Duran and Moore seemed to get away with it but they are all time greats.

I remember him saying in an interview (think it was prior to the Tackie fight) he wouldn't rule out a move up to welter later in his career.

He'd probably be quite effective at the weight aswell. With not having to loose as much weight as he does now, it can only be good for him.

Even more reason to move him on quickly now. So he gets beat by a Mitchell or Tszyu, blame it on weight making difficulties and build again at Welterweight.
