In his post fight interview he said he would be back in the gym on Monday and he hadn't given up hope yet. I'd like to see what he has to say now, a couple of weeks later after the dust has settled. No news on whether he'll continue with Warren or not but he needs to be back in the ring in the next 3 or 4 months maximum.

If Skelton takes him on as a voluntary defence in April and A-Force somehow gets an impressive win, he could be looking at a World title shot by the Autumn.

That was put up on his site a few days ago. Hopefully he realises how far down the pecking order he is now and will take any big fights that come his way. I don't think Im being too silly by thinking that a fight with Danny Williams is possible if Williams doesn't want to rematch McDermott. I would imagine both guys would make more money from that fight than any other fight available considering both are coming off losses.

There are always reasons for performing below one's best. Fact is those that have 'it' come through anyway and don't consistently demonstrate the same faults. Audley's problems are what they have always been - lack of a serious dig, lack of stamina, only able to fight in bursts, too cautious about being hit.

Maybe Danny Williams if he was to carry on? It would make sense for both fighters, as it's currently 1-1, both are coming off loses and it would be for the British belt. And then we could have Rogan/Skelton as well, for the European championship.

Harrison can say what he likes but to me its all in his mind. He just doesnt have the mind of a winner at pro level. The only sensible thing is to quit and be man enough to admit he just wasnt good enough. Danny too has come to the end of the line and needs to do the same but with some pride for what he has achieved in his time. To see them against each other, is not what I want to see, it wouldnt be a good fight.

I seriously think he shouldn't be allowed to box again. After the Rogan fight where he was beaten by a novice (who I'm not sure but didn't even have an amateur career if someone could clear that up?) he was still talking about '2009 being a big year for me' and wearing that stupid 'Yes I can' tshirt. People will always watch him because it is intriguing to see when he is going to fulfill this potential he keeps talking about and he is a bit of a sideshow, but he is just never going to win a belt of any standing. Despite his physique and 'skills' he rarely throws a punch and has that terrified look in his eyes everytime someone attacks him. He looks good in flashes but once or twice a round.

audley says the dream isnt over however he isnt even the best heavyweight in Britain so i dont see how he will even get a world title shot let alone winning a heavyweight title, I think he should retire.

Well he clearly is dreaming, maybe we should have been taking him more literally. If he does get a shot at a world title he should rightly get in line behind Rogan.

If Audley ever does get a world-title shot now then he's done incredibly well for himself. If he's not hanging them up then I would like to see him against McDermott, Sprott or even Williams, if he's not hanging them up too. Perhaps Sosnowski as well?

If he was around in a decent era of Heavies (any era bar this one), he would have had to retire. However he does have the balls to get in the ring so he or any boxer that does need a pat on the back, even if they do annoy us with what they say - we know fights have to be hyped, it's all part of the business.
I've given Audley a hard time over the years but but I think I'm starting to soften, it's probably the 'tryer' aspect of it all, the british way I guess

The interview you refer to was painful to watch (especially the bit when he impulsively slotted in that he had 'broken his jaw') and I've never seen an example of someone so clearly unconvinced by their own words.
When Audley first burst on to the scene, I'm not ashamed to admit that I really thought he was going places but now it's obvious that nothing short of a miracle will see him realize those lofty dreams. Now you just get the feeling that the longer he stays in boxing, the greater his list of regrets will become.

The trouble with Audley is his fame, or infamy now I suppose. If it wasn't for the Olympics or his 1mil BBC deal when he turned pro, you wouldn't hear much bout this clown. But... whenever he opens his mouth the papers will publish his words, regardless of how desperate they are (his words, I mean).
