Sorry if this has already been discussed but I've just heard his world title fight is off, anyone know why?

Nice one

Nice one

He said he would not be ready in time, must have put on a bit too much weight to shift by fight time.

Think he's going to have the Cleverly fight, for British and Commonwealth titles.

Or realised that with only one good arm, his chances of beating a world-class opponent are next to nothing?

Yeah was wondering about that - seeing as Zolt Erdei is now down to fight Yuri Barsharian. Shame that Deano couldn't get himself ready in time - could have been his last throw of the dice.

If you can't shift the weight then you just can't do it, but at his age and with his level of dangerousness (for little reward) it may be that Francis might not get these type of offers coming through too regularly. Hopefully he can stay in shape and get a Euro crack or something.

Legend's a bit strong considering his career, but I do like the guy. i wish him all the best,b ut I don;t see him beating Erdei with only one good arm.

I think calling Erdei world class is also a bit generous.
