Setanta Broadband
Does anyone use the Setanta Broadband service? How is it??
Re: Setanta Broadband
I've had it since the beginning of the year. All the quirks have been irnoned out now - I'd highly recommend it.

Re: Setanta Broadband
Cool. Cheers guys. I'll get signed up
Does anyone know if it works when you're abroad, or is it like the BBC iPlayer, where it only works if you're on a UK IP address?

Re: Setanta Broadband
You can subscribe for their broadband at £7.99 a month, which allows you to view all their channels, plus an on-demand service, over your normal broadbandrhino222 wrote:im confused. is this service free or can you get it only if you subscribe to setanta??
You don't have to be signed up to either their sky, or freeview options either...

Interesting that it's pay per month rather than a contract. Is it easy enough to cancel or a load of hassle?

Re: Setanta Broadband
Setanta have a notoriously poor cancellation system - 60 days notice, with cancellation in writing to an address in Newry, Co Down (at least it is in N.I Steve!)steve689 wrote:Interesting that it's pay per month rather than a contract. Is it easy enough to cancel or a load of hassle?
This inspite of the fact that you can sign up over the phone or on line instantly! They have come in for a lot of heat for it, particularly from Martin Lewis and a Radio 5 Live phone in where they were universally panned.
See this thread for more info:

(Personally I think the boxing and UFC coverage is excellent but if you do want to cancel, for whatever reason, you shouldn't have to jump through all the hoops that you currently do..)
Re: Setanta Broadband
It's a really good service. The connection is great. They could do with improving the quality a little. I actually cancelled it a few months ago as I now have Setanta, but I'd recommend the Broadband service.EddieShredder wrote:Cheers sirEmerson Poncey Name Ghent wrote:PM Asterix, he's had it for ages.
