Danny Norton hits out at the Dave Bradley camp

Stourbridge's Danny Norton is considering quitting the ring - despite an impressive win over Simeon Cover at Dudley Town Hall last Friday night.
Light-heavyweight Norton, brother of the better known Rob, recovered from two knockdowns in the second round to force a stoppage in the third.
But Norton has hit out at the way he was trained for the fight, and the fact he did not know he was conceding weight to Nottingham based Cover until he entered the ring.
Speaking to the Stourbridge News, Norton said: "I was pleased with the win, considering I was very tired going into the ring and my preparation was less than ideal.
"There has been all sorts of problems with my sparring partners pulling out of sessions, and other ones not being available, and generally I have not been pleased with my trainers.
"When I got into the ring I found out Cover was fighting at 13 stone four pounds compared to my 12 stone eight and I certainly felt the difference.
"It was a good fight, and I was pleased I came back -I could not have complained if the referee had stopped it in the second because I was totally dazed, but managed to come back.
"I am now going to go away, do a couple of ten kilometre races, and think about my future in boxing."

Let's hope Bradley can sort matters out. Dave Bradley is putting on some good shows in the midlands at the moment, and they're regular too, so it's A good chance to keep his boxers active.

Sad to hear these sour grapes from Norton. He is an exciting fighter when he opens up - I remember him as a really wild n exciting fighter in his old kickboxing days.

From the outside looking in I thought Bradley was doing good by Norton, giving him decent fights but not pushing him too hard. The way he rallied against Cover in the third showed that Danny has got balls.

Lets hope he overcomes this dispodancy.
