Rather go out fighting or quit on your stool?

Maybe the Pro's/fighters can answer this?

Mooresy? Dodson? Cocom- Bessey etc.

In the heat of battle- when all else has failed - would you rather fight until you can not continue and go out of your shield OR just pull out in the corner?

In terns of health it is obviously better to save yourself, but we all know most fighters would rather leave it all in the ring.

What would you do?

I would definately rather go out fighting and on my feet. Obviously your longterm health is paramount. When I got beat by Matt Legg I got a perforated eardrum which was something I hadn't experienced in a fight before. I was worried about my hearing and thought if I took another shot on it, it could cause some permanent damage. I got to defensive and the ref stopped the fight. Having read up on burst eardrums since if the same happened I would fight through it. Your ears and eyes are very fragile and I wouldn't want to risk them. Teeth and bones can be fixed, I got 3 teeth knocked out in my first fight but I fought through it and I went on to win (and got some new teeth ). I would take every situation on its own merit but thats easy with hindsight, different when you are in there. Thats why a good corner man is vital and I have no worries there.
