I agree 100% Bob has done enough here and overseas to warrant the respect of a rematch, the only reason Hoppa won't shut Bob up and give him a rematch is if he thinks it would be a different outcome.
It would be different if it was a first round distruction :TU:

IMO if Bob had won more fights in his last 5 appearances, he would have a case, but he's had 1 win in his last 5 fights.

It wasn't a bad fight the last fight, but i don't want to see it again, i hope they both head in opposite directions,ie Hoppa fights a couple of people higher in the rankings, and Big Bob to fight some up and commers or retire.

As I said in a different thread, Big Bob needs to make a New Year's resolution and stick to it: "I will fight now more, forever".

The question is why is he carrying on with all this merde! Is it hubris or is he broke?

Ok, what happens if he fights Hoppa and wins? Will he hang up the gloves having attained atonement or will he take on all-comers to malke a quick quid. Fair-dinkum, he is almost old enough to apply for the pension if he is that broke!

Bob, you have had your day in the sun, time now to retire into the shade.

Bob has nothing else he lives from fight to fight, he will become one of the hard luck stories of Aussie boxing.

Big Bob has only fought 4 times in the past 2 years and got clobbered in 3 of them. If he just lives off boxing, no wonder he is trying to snare another better paying bout with Hoppa to save avoiding to be a denizen of Centrelink.

Boxers and sportsman continuing on beyond their prime get sadly remembered for their final poor performances, not for when they were at their prime, eg. Langlands in his grand final white boots, Jimmy Currethers in his ill-timed comeback, the Gattalari family fiasco at "Rocky Arvo" at the Horden Pavilion.

There must be something else Bob can do.

He is too old for boxing.

Yes, Ali's wins over Foreman, Frazier, Liston and Norton pale into insignificance compared to his defeat to Berbick.

To supplement his income between bouts, the Bobster does a bit of acting (or is it standing around). Thespian Bob was seen this week, posing as a Russian heavy, in two scenes (sadly both were non-speaking parts) in the thriller: Silent Witness shown on Foxtel's UK TV channel.

One of Bob's scenes appeared to have been filmed up in the sandhills of the Newcastle Bight, the other in a night club full of near naked pole dancers. Ah, the perks of acting.

Look out Rusty and Hugh once Big Bob gets a speaking part!
