Foreman failed to kayo Tommy Morrison and Alex Stewart, guys that are not considered to be very durable. Moorer is the only highly rated heavyweight that Foreman kayoed in the 90s.

At no stage was Foreman anything less than an above-average puncher. Ever. Bert Cooper had a big punch. He almost put Holyfield out with a single shot. Why couldn't he put Moorer away, despite landing repeated heavy blows?

Answer: Because, even if you had a good shot, & you landed, there were no guarantees you were getting rid of Moorer. However, if you didn't have a good shot, you weren't laying him out.

His supposed power certainly did not get many results for Foreman in the 90s. He failed to score any knockouts in his fights following the Moorer fight.

Charles was never hit by anyone like Foreman, Marciano and
Louis with standing. Sure both of them were hard hitters, I
think Foreman though slower and more ponderous still retained
a great deal of power in every shot.

The shot that dropped Moorer was a clean blow that landed
squarely.

Moorer didn't do enough at LHW to show he could've beaten a fighter of Ezzard's caliber there.

Short, to the point, & inarguable :TU:

I think of Moorer more as a HW than as a LHW. But from what
I have seen of him at LHW, he was pretty impressive.

He was a better Light-Heavy, IMO. He achieved more recognition at Heavyweight, but I don't think you'll get much argument in saying he was much the better man two divisions south. His power was terrific (as opposed to good, as it was at Heavy), & his speed deteriorated a bit as he moved up.

Even so, he just jumped 175 too early to get any kind of benefit of the doubt in this kind of match-up. Moorer (late 80's-early 90's) & Jones, Jr. (late 90's) at 175lbs. would've been scintillating :TU:

Did Bert Cooper ever kayo anyone ranked in the top 10 at heavyweight? Arguing that Moorer was durable because he was not kayoed by Cooper would seem logical if Cooper had ko'd some top-level foes.

Would people rate Tyson as a big puncher if his only kayo over a highly ranked opponnent was against Pinklon Thomas and he had failed to kayo Berbick, Holmes, Carl Williams and others?

If Moorer had withstood the best punches of guys like Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Corrie Sanders, David Tua or Donovan Ruddock I would hold his durability in higher regard.

No shit. Wouldn't we all? Point is, that doesn't mean he wasn't reasonably durable. Moorer wasn't the toughest fellow about the place, but there is this, "push-over for punishment" idea which has forever circulated following his loss to Foreman.

Sit down & watch what he endures against Cooper, & how much he absorbs in a losing effort against Holyfield. He wasn't as soft as they say he was.

Moorer didn't beat anyone special at 175 and would be out of his depth against a fighter like Chalres. It would be more competitive at heavyweight but still same result with Charles winning either a wide decision or late stoppage the latter is more likely.
