Glyn Leach editorial in boxing monthly

It was in either the December or Janurary issue of boxing monthly - may have been around 1996-1999 but it was in the 1990s.
But he wrote an editorial about George Foreman winning the world title, his comeback and Glyn's own rise as boxing journalist from a pizza factory. (I think)

The copy has been long gone but for me - it was one of the most inspiration articles I have ever read - could anyone (I know Glyn
posts on here) post the article on here?

I remember a long time ago (the 80s?) that there was a World in Action documentary on meat factories, especially those that made pork pies.

With the resulting media coverage, sales plummeted by half almost overnight. However, this didn't last long. Which proves that people have short memories where this stuff is concerned...especially fat bastards like me.

A pal of mine works for a 'meat reclamation' company and has some horrific tales. I really don't want to know...

Cousin worked as a knifeman in an abetoir (sp), his kids never ate a sausage, burger or pie their entire childhoods.

Unless you grow your own produce, there's no way of avoiding the "horror stories" of every form of manufactured food you could care to mention. It's best to just not think about it.
