Craig Docherty v Boris Sinitsin.. European Title

Post by neil r »

Just found out that Craig Dicherty will be up against Russian, Boris Sinitsin for the European super feather title. Fight takes place at the Kelvin Hall, Glasgow in September.

Should be a fine match. Sinitsin is in his third reign as euro champ has a record of 45 wind from 53 fights and has been pro for around a dozen years but if the much less experienced Docherty wins he will be the first Scot to win this particular title.

This of course means that Docherty has no intention of fighting Alex Arthur for the British title next month after all why fight for the British when he can have the European

Good to see Sky screening a European title fight. Agree, a tough fight for Docherty. Sinitsin, if my memory serves me correctly, chinned Dennis Pedersen in a couple of rounds in Denmark...has a big left hook. But Docherty is no slouch either. Much improved.

He KOed Pedersen in their first fight. In the 2nd won a dec (8-4 in rounds or something like that). In his last defeat, vs Pedro Miranda in Spain, he was so robbed it wasnt even funny (Pickering vs Monzon style).

Alex Arthur wouldn't go anywhere near someone like the Russian.
