You have to look at the opponent though.forcefraser wrote:I liked Nathan Cleverly`s shot in his last fight.
I would go with Lindsay and Matthews, or Rhodes against Woolcombe.
Re: best knockout of 2008
Same here. Prescott picked his punches really well and threw with all the venom he could muster. Khan stood up after first knock down and his eyelids were drooping. It's crazy the ref let the fight go on, but luckily Khan's chin wouldn't let him take any more punishment. Thankfully the last punch Prescott threw, as Khan was falling, missed, as that would have been devastating.black panther wrote:chinny wrote:Has to be Prescott KO1 Khan doesn't it?I'm actually somewhat a Khan supporter but that was a quality K.O.

Re: best knockout of 2008
Haye v Macca was dramatic, Abraham v Miranda was one of the most brutal.
Re: best knockout of 2008
Thaxton's KO of his most recent opponent was very dramatic, although that guy didn't seen to get out of first gear in that bout.
Re: best knockout of 2008
There was one featured on skys knockout show on new years eve where a guy got ko'd with the first punch but was still standing and took another couple of punches before landing face down on the canvas, can't remember the fighters involved though
Re: best knockout of 2008
Yeah I can't rememeber the fighters but the KO was absolutely brutal.banjo wrote:There was one featured on skys knockout show on new years eve where a guy got ko'd with the first punch but was still standing and took another couple of punches before landing face down on the canvas, can't remember the fighters involved though
Re: best knockout of 2008
I was only thinking about British boxing with my previous post. In World boxing, look at Edison Miranda's KO over David Banks. Holt vs Torres is a good call, though I don't like the fact that an unintentional headbutt created the opportunity.stujones wrote:Maybe controvesial but Holt's bolt on Torres had a devastating effect.

I wanted to say Pryce vs Concepcion... turns out that was October 07... time flies.

Years later, the award STILL goes to Alexander-Takaloo! I haven't seen a better British knockout since.

Old Bones,
WRONG !!!!
Curtis Woodhouse v Wayne Downing cos I know how much that meant to him.
Mind you, that shot of Rhodes in April at York Hall wasn't bad either ...........
