Running a large web site like this cant be cheap and I doubt that the few banners would generate enough to cover expenses.

It's part of Boxing Central's site, so I'm pretty sure most of the funds come from their, because I've never seen an ad on boxrec, except the Casino one at the bottom...

Boxrec does not fund itself at all. The small ad at the bottom of the page is just a free page counter from Hitbox. All the running costs come out of my pocket and at the moment these equate to approx a pint of beer a day (Pendle Witch's Brew/Batemans XXXB/Timothy Taylor Landlord/Flowers etc.). However if the costs rise significantly (very unlikely) and start to have an effect upon my beer expenditure then I shall look for sponsors/advertisers.

AS I have mentioned a couple of times before, something about that ad banner at the bottom of the pages seems to make my browser freeze oftentimes. I don't know why exactly. Even at work, when I am using a DSL connection, it will take a while for the page to fully download. In IE, after a page completely loads, it says "Done" at the bottom of the screen. Not always, but frequently enough, if a BoxRec page hasn't loaded completely, where it should say "Done," it says something along the lines of "Hitbox something or other"; usually it's the image that is taking awhile to fully load.

John, have you considered other free counters? For example, does Hitbox provide all the stats that this free counter site offers?---->

See? It just happened again. My browser froze, then the ISP connection quit. I had to redial up my ISP. In doing so, my message was posted twice. ric

P.S. One cool feature of Stats4All is that anyone can click on the Stat4All logo, after it is installed on a page, and view all the stats for him/herself.

Well, in that case John, you're the man!

This is one hell of a site, and free to boot. If you ever need any funding if the costs raise, setup a paypal donation option... I'm sure many people would donate to you, to keep this great site up and running.
