I would do one, but I would hardly be unbiased. One of Kev's people was at the show and bought a copy, I can forward you that, but it doesn't cover all of the articles...

Was just interested in what what the boxing diehards think of it, James.
A young lad called Lee Brunsden. If you go to the site there's info on the staff. Pleased to say there isn't a pic of me yet. Will have to bite the bullet and sort it out though! 8)

Yeah, you've got to have your pic in there. I remember Boxing Monthly had pics of the staff taken in the same chair and, for some reason, they came out bad. They literally looked like dead bodies propped up in the chair.
I'm getting the mag whatever (will be putting my order through tonight when I get home) so am just asking this out of curiosity as I can't find the answer on the website, but how many pages does the magazine have?
Going by the sample images on the site it looks superb and, by the sounds of things, I know I'm going to be a fan of it. I'll put up an additional review of my own once I've read through it if you like.

Yeah, please do Pompey. So Frank Maloney's the money behind it. Interesting.

Nice one, PS! It's a 52 pager I think. I subscribe to Boxing Monthly myself and I'm not just saying this but I think it's dropped off quite a bit of late. Especially in the subbing. There is the old 'cheap and cheerful' attitude but, to be honest, it is neither of these things. I'm not just hating - I still buy the thing!
The Editor has assured all the writers that we can do what we want...there is no agenda with any promoters.
At the end of the day, Boxing News is always going to have a following, because they provide a pretty comprehensive coverage of the sport at home and abroad, and unlike most boxing magazines, comes out weekly, so is never woefully out of date, which is always a danger for a monthly.
However, as said before, we are aiming less for comprehensive coverage (as this is done very well elsewhere, including some top quality websites (boxrec, britishboxing.net, maxboxing, fightnews et. al) but more 'flavour' if you like, more of an overview and insight into the boxing scene rather than reportage.
Frank Maloney is a true boxing man and that's what a mag like this needs behind it. Boxing Monthly, regrettably, had a couple of part-timers behind it (in the early days at least).
