Shane Cameron VS Leo Nolan

Post by N2 Shape »

Cameron is scheduled to meet American Leo Nolan March 7th in his hometown of Gisbourne, NZ.

Nolan in my view is a perfect hand-picked opponent he carries a nice 27-1-0 record that looks good for the Media/Public but truth is Nolan shouldnt pose any threat to Cameron. Mainly because he lacks any real power, he can box a bit and is reasonably tough but he wont be winning a decision in Shanes country, let alone home town!

Can't really fault Cameron for taking this one.

Will there be a decent undercard? On TV in Australia?

I am not after 'title' fights (PABF etc), or padded records or 'international' fighters on undercards, just genuine contests. Fights that go to the judges for decisions. Thats what I want.

Biggest problem with Nolan is keeping him out of prison.

Thats what every one wants mate, Even contests were you cant pick the winners before the night starts. I dont mind having OPBF etc on the card as long as there between deserving fighters.(ie Briggs-Wilson ) Not like some of the farces we see.

Leapai was good value, although put him in with someone who fights back not a human punching bag.

Out of the local pool of kiwis

Leapai Vs Mailata would be a goodone while it lasted
Leapai VS Tai (if Tai comes fit and to fight)
Leapai VS Suttie would be a good fight

Although the undercard could be a beauty using some of the local kiwi based guys

Steve Heremaia
Ray Musson
Chauncy Welliver
Soulan Pownceby
Moyoyo Mensah
Daniel McKinnon

Match those boys up right and it'll be a cracker

suttie is K1, leapai's bro mentioned on esb it was suppose to be joey wilson but he pulled out to much of a risk my thought wilson shit his pants & he hoped cameron fights in Auckland cause his whole entire family is living their.

That's the worst ranking (200th) for a 27-1 fighter I've ever seen, since Peter Mcneily of course.

Wilsons whole family lives in Auckland or Camerons? Gisborne is Shanes hometown.

Young heavyweight Isi Maama looks to be resuming his career on the undercard on March 7th also against Oscar Talemaira

Leapai is heading close 2 Camerons level & i'v watched a replay of cronje fight Leapai is going big in this new generation of H/W still maturing only 16 fights & you got him matched up with these bums, your so making my ass itchy, I see Leapai vs Cameron end of this year & have it in Auckland it'll be like Tua vs Cam cause he's Samoan & you know the islanders in Auckland they come to support both of their boys in crowds massive contingents ill certainly fly down from sydney to watch i'm a fan of both boys.

Nolans points loss to ferreyo dumped him way down the rankings....it was a similar fate to Greenberg and sosnowski.....

Cameron however is still a way above the leapai's and de'mori's and hopoates

leapai is 6ft ..started as a cruiser and has now topped 240lbs....beat Cronje and Briggs recently but lost to the aging Wilson (who lost to cronje and briggs ?? )

anyway apart from epic fights with Big bob the stats show that Colin Wilson is the most durable bloke in the southern hemisphere ....only really big hitters stop him..... leapai isnt one.

matt skelton is a joke i nearly fell asleep watching the old man embarrass himself in his attempt at a world title he's not going anywhere he's had his chance .now our new crop of heavyweights leapai, hopoate, demori, briggs, cronje, haumono and kirby are going places any one of them would give matt skelton ,shane cameron, and kali meehan a run for their money and they wouldn't be getting knocked out either.

Been a while since anybody got up from one of Kali's overhand right hands to the temple. He is a class above the rest of the heavyweights in this part of the World.
