Elcock vs Lockett

Post by REAL_DEAL »

This should be a real 50/50 fight, Lockett tends to only be good for 4 rounds and elcock did get blowed out in a round but elcock is strong over 12 rounds, this should be a good match up on the 3rd of july but who wins?

If it goes past 4 you've really got to favour Elcock surely? Come on you Welsh lets have it.

I question Elcock's punch resistance. Lockett has a lot of power, i think he stops Wayne within 4 rounds.

Elcock will win by tko (lockett marks up like a bitch), elcock will double jab keep his hands tucked up for a couple of rounds, Lockett gets frustrated and looses interest, lets not forget, Monaghan had the beating of him, Quato is pretty shite, and they pulled gayler out of fighting elcock at the last second, and then put him in with lockett, how did locketts face look after he fought gayler and what did he weigh, this fight is an elimanator for the big 1 :TU: , well now the WBC has gone to shit you never know

It's a tough fight to call. Lockett in front of a big Welsh crowd at Newport on the Maccarinelli-Cruzat undercard is going to be fired up. Elcock is a lovely boxer and has squeezed in a couple of better warm-ups than Lockett has. But both men are capable of winning. Maybe Elcock's better boxing will edge it.
Has he been training hard Steve?

I saw him a few days ago and he looks tip top and is really looking foward to the fight as is lockett, these guys know each other well so there will be no hyped up shit, Wayne never blows up between fights and is always 100% in shape he has been sparing well and working really hard, i just sent my old man over to get my tickets, should be a good night, I cant see lockett getting close enough to wayne to land cleanly, and i think if he does wayne will tuck up and get on with it.

I agree with Adam, I think Lockett can win by KO, but I would be surprised if Gary wins on points.

Elcock is the better boxer, but can be stopped.

Elcock boxes his way to a stoppage victory, more than likely due to a bad swelling/cut. IMO Elcock isn't chinny, just got caught cold by a good shot.

I remember Yuri Tsarenko rocked elcock in their fight, Lockett went down hill during his second fight with Yuri Tsarenko.

I'm going for Lockett to win by stoppage. IMO, Elcock isn't a good enough boxer to totally negate Lockett for 12 rounds. At some stage (with his power i believe he'll still have a fair chance after 4) Lockett will land a decent couple of shots and when that happens i think he's got enough of a dig to get Elcock out of there.

I think Lockett will catch up with Elcock sooner or later and blast him out.

Lockett KO3 - he'll only need to land once, with either hand.
