Top fight..I think Clottey will stop Cintron in the late rounds and I think Jennings will surprise a few people too!! I ain't saying he'll win BUT he won't disgrace himself by any means!! I really would love Jennings to do it!! It would be great for British boxing..I also agree with the point about Jamie Moore too he is well well well over due a world title shot!!

:box: Common Mikey Jennings!! :box:

Here's a question...
Who will have Clottey Cintron, Sky or Setanta? It's a Top Rank fighter and I thought the loophole only applied to a British fighter, i.e. Jennings

Got my ticket!

I usually wouldn't root for a British guy (being that I'm Irish), but I can't stand how the Spanish speakers are taking over America. I hope Jennings KOs him in 6. I'll be there cheering for him!

Anyone know the undercard by chance? If you do please list it.

Nevermind, I found it. Here it is:

Main Event - WELTERWEIGHT - Miguel Angel Cotto vs. Michael Jennings - 12 Rounds
Undercard - WELTERWEIGHT - Joshua Clottey vs. Kermit Cintron - 12 Rounds
LIGHTWEIGHT - Anthony Peterson vs. ? - 10 Rounds
LIGHT WELTERWEIGHT - Vivian Harris vs. Mike Alvarado - 10 Rounds
LIGHT MIDDLEWEIGHT - Pawel Wolak vs. Keenan Collins - 8 Rounds
SUPER BANTAMWEIGHT - Jorge Diaz vs. ? - 6 Rounds
HEAVYWEIGHT - Nagy Aguilera vs. ? - 6 Rounds
SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT - Matt Korobov vs. ? - 4 Rounds

That is one hell of a card! I can't wait.
If the fights start at 6:30PM EST, then when do you think the Main Event will be? 10PM?

Here's a link to the card that will be updated when opponents change (and will also have the results after the event): http://www.boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=563314

Decent undercard that, looking forward to it. Emerson, you coming?

Confident Jennings cautions Cotto

Chorley's Michael Jennings believes victory over Miguel Cotto in New York on 21 February will be his ticket "into the big leagues" of boxing.

Jennings will be a huge underdog when he challenges 28-year-old Cotto for the vacant WBO welterweight belt.

"Training camp has gone really well and I feel in the shape of my life," said former British champion Jennings, 31.

"I've never been sharper, and unless Cotto is taking me 100% seriously then he's in for a nasty surprise."

Puerto Rico's Cotto is a former two-weight world champion but lost his last fight against Mexico's Antonio Margarito last July when he was stopped in the 11th round of a thrilling contest

However, the validity of that result has been called into question since Margarito was banned for a year after it was revealed hard pads were discovered in his gloves ahead of his defeat to Shane Mosley on 24 January.

Cotto, who has one defeat from 33 fights with 26 knockouts, said he would not be taking Jennings lightly.

"I'm ready for the fight," said Cotto "I'm not thinking of anyone else. I'm focused on Michael Jennings."

Jennings, who has one defeat from 35 fights with 16 knockouts, is a former British welterweight champion but lost his title to West Bromwich's Young Muttley in 2006 and has never fought anyone in Cotto's class.

Cotto won the WBO light-welterweight title in 2004 and made six defences before stepping up to 147lb and winning the WBA title at his first attempt.
