Old bones Ian wrote:I so hope it isn't Medina, he's a boxer who i have huge respect for, but he is completly shot.
His last fight against Klassen wasn't pretty to watch, Medina didn't have any punch resistance at all.

Kevin Kelly is still able to operate at a decent level, so wouldn't be the worst opponent.

The other name not mentioned could be Jesus Chavez.
He's the first on the boxrec rankings that I came across who fits the bill, but he falls into the same category as MAB and EM, I doubt Warren would let him anywhere near Khan, slightly faded, completely shot or otherwise.

Carlos Hernandez? IBC and IBF champion - lost to Kevin Kelley 2 years ago, making a comeback?

I'd love to know who this legend is... my money is on Tapia. He fits the bill of Legend.

It's a sad reflection on Warrens matchmaking that everyone searches for fighters at least a weight below Khan and aged 36+

I say Joel Casamayor...I have faith in Frank delivering that one

Not a chance, it took a few rounds for Marquez to get into his rythym against Casa

When the day comes that Joel's been put down a few times by nothing punches then he'll be considered for Khan :TU:

So I suspect your laughter is based on the opponent being alot more credible than the names suggested? With the exception of Barrera and Casamayor.

Well lets see him in the ring... Enzo Mac was supposed to have a credible fighter in December and ended up with Magic Matthew Ellis.

Based on that response the only logical fighter that fits that description is Stevie Johnson

Whoever it is, the fight is next month, so there won't be a big build up. I don't think it will be anyone anywhere near the top of the ratings. Definitely not someone like Casamayor, Jesus Chavez, Barrera, David Diaz, etc.

Johnston is hardly a "modern day legend" as the article puts it, he was a damn good fighter but that was a decade ago.

Funny you say harrison because I think he is in belfast training. It may be a good idea because he is well known and has been out of action for a while. Does anyone know whether he has any legal issues to resolve?
Does anyone have any idea will he be able to get a license back?

I thought Scott had a court case in Spain comming up, deferred from last year because the judge went sick. I dont think we will ever see him fight again never mind Feb/Mar. Scott would KO Khan anyway so noway would FW match those two.
