Need some help finding info

Hey guys,
I was wondering if you might be able to help me in finding some information regarding an old-time boxer by the name of Perry Mattern? My friend's family had a pro-boxer in their family that went by his name, and they have a few newspaper articles on him as well as his pro-boxing gloves. I figured I'd try and gather some information for them, and also satisfy my curiousity.

I searched your site but couldn't find anything on his record. Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a million in advance, for both helping me and creating boxrec. I have used this site many times to help me with record information, and it has proven to be extremely useful and time saving.

We have a Kit Matern with one bout. Any idea where, and when he fought?

Perry Mattern seems to have been an amateur boxer fighting out of Clearfield, PA in the late '40s. Don't know if he ever turned pro.

Hmm...Well perhaps he never did turn pro. Do you have his record available? Thanks for looking into it for me. 8)

I don't have amateur records available. IBut if he ever turned pro, his record will turn up here.
