Valid points Stu - I just think MAB has resigned himself to having a few fights left - those fights shouldn't be against young upstarts - if MAB fights at all they should be against "BIG" names - Like I say by winning against Khan, MAB is not proving anything at all - other than clouding/tarnishing what I feel has been a fantastic career.stujones wrote:Well I think Barrera boxing ability might just be a factor in why Khan might not win. Khan might be faster, stronger and fitter - although everyone thought Naz would be faster than Barerra also. Remember Barrera is the naturally smaller guy, so should have some speed against big Lightweights.
Khan has defensive frailities that have been exposed by Gomez - an aging Super Feather not near Barrera's league, then I think Barrera is capable of it also. Barrera is a fighter who has got it all, argueably the most complete fighter of the Millenium.
Not saying Khan cannot win, I think offensively he has the ability to beat ANYONE at Lightweight. He is a monster at the weight, is getting stronger all the time, fit and lightening quick. I think the opening 3 rounds will be telling, if Khan cannot hurt Barrera early - then I suspect Marco will be just to good and mug him ala Grant vs Rhodes.
Barrera is still quick enough to floor Marquez and to catch Pacquiao on a regular basis. His performances against those two should be commended - although it is 1 year ago.
Stu - you know I am a fantastic tipster
