I like to read Germaine Greer in the Guardian. I don't agree with anything she writes but it's good entertainment. She once wrote a column about why pink should not be associated with femininity as the head of the penis is pinker than the vagina.

I think its in the nature of journalism for people to degrade over time, people just get jaded and turn into hacks who regurgitate the same old stuff. It's not easy being original and cutting for twenty years.

Some people on here talk of the Sun newspaper as the devil and if you read it you are either unemployed or the lowest of the low, I read the Sun on a Regular basis mainly for the sport, they usually break the biggest stories along with SS news. If i want a deep and meaningful read then i pick up a book (or borrow 1 from Old bones Ian) but for a 5min read it's ok.

I think most people go through a stage of reading The Sun. I use to read it a bit when I was 15 or 16, but if Mark Thompson reads it on a regular basis and he is any older then that, then I agree that is rather sad.
