Don King what a promoter - free fight progammes

Post by My T Sharp »

If you go on his website you can view the fight programmes from his recent shows as a PDF file.

Great idea, hope others follow suit :TU:

Fair play to King - that is a great little section for a promoter's web site that will keep the fans coming back again and again. Who would of thought a man of his age would be at the cutting edge of technology in such a way?..

Which other promoter's offer enticements of that quality? I know the UFC host free to view off air fights from time to time as well as other good quality multimedia, and they have Hauser writing for them.

All boxing promoters should consider such methods of making fans want to visit their sites - its rare if ever I visit a domestic boxing promoter's website to be truthful.

I wish more would utilise the Internet as a marketing tool. Warren and Maloney have got the right idea using YouTube, but there's plenty more that can be done.

Nice touch from King and a kick in the nuts for those guys who charge exorbitant prices for his programmes in the back of the boxing monthly, now you can print them off for nowt!

As for the British promoters the video stuff on Warren's isn't bad to be fair but putting at least a few undercard fights on there as well wouldn't go astray.

Brian Peters seems to have the video from quite a few of his shows on his site: http://brianpeterspromotions.com

Some good scraps if you can put up with the shit commentators. Steve Barnes debut is on there, had a look at it because the Ingles are raving about him and he's only 17 I think.

He doesn't look anything sensational on his debut but there certainly appears to be an lot of potential there and given his age I think he's definitely one to keep an eye on.
