Calzaghe has fought two over the hill LH's one of which isn't even a natural LH, he got put on his arse off both of them and you think he beats Conteh

Calzaghe has very little form at light heavy. He's beaten a washed up Jones Jr, and Hopkins who isn't exactly a LH great.

I wouldn't say Calzaghe couldn't win, but Conteh would have been the much much bigger man and was an excellent figther to boot.

Picking Calzaghe over Conteh is simply embarrassing. This is a guy who was twice decked by middle aged men in his two light-heavy fights, and one was a tight, hard fought decision.

Calzaghe couldn't live with Conteh.

waddaya all mean?

Calzaghe is The Ring light heavyweight champion

He has the pedigree

He is "The Man"

He beat 2 legends

He has The Powaah

He has The Man-knee

Seriously, Conteh was a brilliant physical talent. Didn't go as far as many felt he could have. I think he would have had enough to beat Calzaghe. Calzaghe would eat right hands all night (and I'm not sure he can stand up to well delivered right hands up at 175). At least, enough to beat the Calzaghe who fought as alight heavyweight.

That extra weight slows down Joe. Notice how Joe looked good and fast vs Jones, who had zero movement & footwork. Whereas he couldn't get his feet in proper position to fight Hopkins, and was throwig those awful cuffs from way out.

Got to go with Conteh.

I doubt Conteh would be much bigger. There is 7lb difference and Conteh boxed in a day when they weighed in on the day, so I would imagine that Calzaghe's weight int he ring would be much the same as Conteh's.

My view would be Calzaghe too quick, too consistent.

Conteh's son is a professional golfer, isn't he?

Take a look at Chad Dawson's weight compared to the size he is, weight doesn't always mean you will be the bigger man.
