MEN Arena Undercard

Post by whicker »

Any idea what they are stacking this with? My guess would be Warrens Northern based prospects V journeymen. Hopefully there might be a couple of fights that rise above this level just a little.

when I first went to the arena to see Benn V Collins the undercard was good- or at least that is how I remember it. Herbie Hide V michael Murray, Mark Prince V Maurice Core (I've looked on boxrec) were good fights. The local support was Steve Foster V Chris Pyatt in a 12 rounder, which I don't remember at all!

I think there were also fights scheduled that were cancelled because the venue ran out of time! In which other sport....

Yeah, sorry- I should have meant the other bouts, the under-undercard so to speak! the last Sports Network show I went to, be be fair, Haye V Macca had a decent-ish undercard. Vinny Mitchell V Baguley was entertaining, and there was the Walshes, Patrick Maxwell and Paul Smith V Renda, all decent enough fights to keep us going.

I would think the Walsh boys will be on and one of my favourite prospects Derek Chisora might fight if he bangs the Norwegian guy out at the end of the month.

Is Bellew on it? If he is, I hope he fights more than a 4-rounder.

Cook will be involved no doubt, he is nominally in a title fight against Roman someone.

Pryce V Hall- again, hope so but....

Macca V Banks is almost certainly a no-no now, I think? There was another thread about that.

His information might not be quite up to date, though- Banks V Macca (according to what I've read here) is almost certainly a no-no.

Yeah, as always with this sort of show it could do with a strong card through, but it may or may not deliver. I've see some shocking undercards on "big shows" in the past.

Denis Lebedev 16(11)-0-0

The 29 year old was a Light Heavyweight, took 4 years out and came back in 2008 as a Cruiserweight. He had 3 fights in 08. Fought no-one I've heard of.
