:D Why not...Mosley throws great shots and Tony will get hit by 50% of them.

Margarito to strong for Mosley, i can see the first stoppage defeat for Shane.

In fact i'm going for a bold prediction, all over by round 6

Mosley withdraws on his stool after nine. He'll plead to go on, but will be battered and bruised and thankful for a way out.

My T Sharp - fair play mate, I never saw that one coming.

I have real mixed feelings about this result; on the one hand it confirms, along with Oscar-Manny, just why boxing is the best sport in the world. On the other hand, as I've stated before, Mosley is tainted for me. What's worse, the fact that a fighter as skilled as he is feels the need to take drugs (accepted it's 'allegedly') - what does it say to other fighters?

Amazing pick, probably one of the best I have ever seen. You might be the only person on the complete site that though Mosley was good enough to stop Margarito. Hats off to you, sir.

Absolutely. Not one of the Yanks who takes part in the prediction league - even those who thought Mosley would win - said he would stop him.

Will really have to get my head around Betfair. Normal betting is killing me!

black panther wrote:I'm gonna say Mosley on points. Probably my heart ruling my head as I've been a massive fan of SSM over the years but I'll look like a genius if Sugar Shane can pull out one last great victory. :DDD

Plus, in the grand scheme of things Margarito is limited. Sure, he's tough as nails, throws a massive about of punches, has above average power and is a huge welterweight but he's definitely lacking in the finesse department and is prone to being outboxed. The Mosley of a few years back would have won no doubt.

Another thing - if anyone is feeling super lucky, Mosley is 6-1 to win on points. I've got a cheeky tenner on that.
No way did I think Mosley could stop Margarito but chuffed for Mosley - he's a throwback. He's also one of the reasons I became a "hardcore" fan. I remember watching him demolish Shannon Taylor and Adrian Stone and thinking "wow! Thats amazing!"

Just watched the fight (Sky + Genius) and I dont know if Mosley was too good or Margarito was poor (He just looked to open). Hat off the Mosley though, 37 and still kicking at the top.

Well I don't want to be Mr. Wise After The Event but I picked Mosley over on BoxPicks :D

In all honesty I thought he might fiddle Margarito about and use his skills to win a narrow one on points, but never expected a KO and a total one sided beating. However, Margarito has always been overrated as he can be beaten and we have seen it before, although never like that.

His steel, size and relentless workrate have made him a high risk-little reward operator but he has also been mytholigically turned into a total world beater. He psycholigically outstayed Cotto and Cintron but remember Josh Clottey had a great chance of beating hime before the hand went and Williams used non-stop aggressive punching to beat him too. Margarito has NEVER moved his head and Mosley had the speed and power to capitilise.

Anyway, like I said great shocker by Mosley, fair play to him. Maybe get a Berto fight next to clear up the division?

 There was always the chance that Mosley was shot but when I looked at Compubox it became how apparent it is that Magarito is easy to hit. Think it was around the 45-50% mark in recent fights.

True he has a cast iron jaw but I dont think he has mixed in real proven top class (apart from Cotto) and like I said Shane throws well timed powerful shots, and he also has a decent record against the Hispanic style. No fighter is invincible and I think the best time to get a fighter is just after a war, just like Tony had with Cotto.
