I an't even find so much as a comment from King, Ant. That's what makes me dubious about buying the tickets yet.

I'm sure the reporter who grabbed those quotes with Jonathan Banks in the lead up to the Maccarinelli fight will be able to help you out here, Ant.

This is what I've been saying all along. Where's the confirmation from Barrera? Does he even know he's involved in a fight?! Let's here it from the horse's mouth or a press release at least from Don King.

Does anyone think it's a bit strange how there hasn't been a peep out of Barrera or any of his associates?

We all know how Frank and Sky love to hype a fight. Though, there’s nothing really going on atm.

I'm very dubious about this. I just hope that Derek Gainer's passport isn't about to expire. You know, just in case...

Lol at you guys. When have you EVER seen a situation where a fight of this magnitude has supposedly been 'on' but having ABSOLUTELY NO COMMENT from a fighter or his promoter since its announcement, not to mention the fact that nowhere is it mentioned that anyone has actually signed to fight.

Warren is a f**king cheating scumbag piece of sh*t, in my opinion of course.

i think its just as strange that there has been nothing from boxingchat he is oh so quick to comment normally when it suits him and there is something positive to say but when things start going wrong he goes a.w.o.l
I don't read anything boxingchat posts. All that guy knows is, how many sugars Frank takes in his tea.

They actually had a cardboard cut-out/poster of Barrera sat next to Khan at the press conference to announce it.
Classy as fook

I hope someone's told Barrera this fight is actually on. That would be nice.

I heard or read somewhere that we would hear from Barrera next week. It might have been Frunk Warren in a YouTube video, but I can't remember. I would say that wait until Wednesday.

I won't be buying a ticket until I see Barrera at a press conference or at the very least say something in an interview confirming the fight with Khan.

Marco's scheduled to fight on Jan 31st, which got me thinking about if the Khan bout is really signed?

Last thing I heard was that the contracts aren't signed but the details have been verbally agreed. Warren said it in a video. Press conference I think.

I had forgotten Barrera's fight was so soon. I still think Warren is waiting to see how that goes.

Well, if you can't trust a verbal agreement in boxing, when can you trust one?

Thing is, the cheaper seats are selling fast. The £100 (plus Bollox booking fees) seats appear to have sold out already.

I think if it doesn't go ahead all those who waited to get tickets will be laughing the arses off. Still, SOMETHING is going ahead, so at £57 its not the end of the world if khan is off.

Edit- although actually there seems to be some decent ones left on a different ticket site. On another note, the verifcation word needed was "Comical." Are they trying to tell me something?

Often these ticket selling websites stagger the release of tickets. They allow some areas to be bought and then others hold back, hinting that they're unavailable or sold out. It's near impossible to gauge how tickets selling based on which ones available from ticketmaster.

I think it went something like this:

FW: So Marco how about a fight with Khan?
MAB: (thinks) Yes if the money was right I suppose I would take it.
FW: Boxingchat, get the press room booked asap.

Don King could play this to his advantage :?? The longer he and Barrera don't announce the fight, the more money they can demand from Frank :o

Yeah, I'd say you have a point there. Also it seems that different ticket sellers have tickets for different blocks etc.

The claim of 15 000 might mean 15 000 tickets have been bought buy ticketmaster and the like?
